The initial seeds for Elderberry first sprouted way back when a friend asked me to create the flowers for her daughters’ weddings. It sprouted further when a business associate requested that I do hers, filled with a mass of glorious June peonies. My instinctive love of flowers and my teaching and editorial background in design and photo styling further fueled this new found passion and pastime. Soon I found myself, with the help of partner Arnie Miller, doing weddings for a local venue, which, over the last ten years has grown to doing as many as 50- plus weddings a year all over the Hudson Valley and capitol region. Each and every wedding is tended to with the utmost attention and consideration.

My partner Arnie Miller is invaluable in planning and creating environmental decor such as ceremony and reception which coordinates with my designs and helps to create an overall ambiance and mood for your celebration.
